Today starts a crazy few days for the Petersons. Today was Ella's last day of preschool. I'm happy for her, but am sad that my baby girl is growing up. I'll probably be a wreck at her graduation tomorrow morning. After we dropped Ella off at school this morning, Cole and went to the doctor's office for his 2 year Well-Child check up. He was such a champ! His doctor was impressed with his size and verbal ability. She said for a boy, he's above average in his talking, which is a relief. Then came the part I hate, the shots. I was prepared for the screams, but he didn't cry. He just got upset with the band aids they put on him. He really hates band aids.
After, we picked Ella up from school we met friends at Chuck E Cheese's. Ella has been begging to go since it opened and I've been putting it off. We decided today would be a good way to celebrate Ella and her friend finishing preschool. I had been dreading it, but it wasn't bad at all. There weren't many people there and they had lots of things for the littler kids to do, which I was worried about. All in all, I would go back, just never when it's crazy busy.
Tonight, I'm meeting friends for dinner then we are going to Bridesmaids. I'm skeptical, but willing to give it a shot. Then tomorrow is Ella's graduation and Cole's second birthday. Friday we are headed out of town for my sister-in-law's high school graduation. I like seeing the family, but I HATE the drive. Seven hours in the car with two young kids is awful. Ella is a great traveler, but Cole is not.
Next week, nothing is going on except Cole's birthday party on Saturday.

My First Blog Post
So, I've decided to start a blog. I'm entirely sure why other than the fact that I love to write and here's a chance for me to do so. I thought I should start by talking about myself and the things I will probably blog about. I'm a stay-at-home mom to my two kids. Ella is 5 and Cole is (almost) 2. We also have a one-year old puggle named Darwin who drives me absolutely crazy every single day. My husband and I were high school sweethearts. We've been together 15 years and married almost 10. We have lived in Rochester, MN for the past 4 years.
I love TV. I watch a lot of shows and like to discuss them with other people. I like movies, but I can be particular about what I will watch. I read A LOT. I like pop culture and I am a facebook addict.
I really like to cook. This is the most surprising thing about me, I think. Six years ago, I hated to cook. Then, when I was pregnant with Ella, I started watching Food Network. I began thinking to myself, that doesn't look too hard. So, I started trying. Turns out, it's a lot of fun! Who knew? Know I love to try new recipes and get my family to try new things. Just the other day, we had Strawberry Spaghetti.
This is all I can think of for now. I hope you'll check back later. Right now, I have to take Darwin outside before he has an accident.
